Read More...Well, well. Goodness me, the summer has FLOWN by...My little tribe and I soaked in all that warm sun, went on lots of adventures and even painted our house! As much as we are already starting to miss summer...With school off to a great start and that cool, refreshing air blowing in...It is getting me all inspired for the full fall ahead.
Read MoreWell, hello there.
My oh my has this year gotten off to an amazing start. And, BONUS: The sunshine is making an appearance multiple days in a row!!! I cannot believe how swiftly Spring is approaching, buds on the trees and some early daffodils blooming. These bits of flowers and sun are making me ache for the warmer days ahead AND my annual Spring Honey+bee(s) Event. This year they will be held on Saturday, May 5th.
I LOVE Honeybee sessions. They are my favorite. They happen two times per year in the Autumn + Spring. The autumn sessions are more focused with the whole family in mind. This is the send year that I have offered the Spring sessions.
They are a little different.
They are mainly for mommas.
Please read my letter below sharing a bit of my heart. Calling out to all mommas that are deep in the trenches of motherhood.
Read MoreI'm not sure that there's anything that says "Pacific Northwest" quite like a trip to Orcas Island. The salty air blasting you and the San Juans making your soul ache with their beauty. Once I arrived to the island we took the day and adventured around to some of their favorite spots. Eastsound for some village walking, crab searching and fort building..then the next morning we rose before the sun to summit Mount Constitution for sunrise.
Read MoreHere's a little recap of last fall's HoneyBee Sessions. These are mini-sessions with a lot of heart.
These sessions take place twice a year in the Spring and Autumn.
Here's a little glimpse of this year's goodness. Cheers!
Oh goodness what a lovely group of Honeybee Sessions we had this fall. As I'm winding down for my annual Christmas Vacation to spend time with my family, it is fun to reflect on all growth 2016 has brought. These events are such a joy of mine and I am so thankful for all the returning new and returning faces year after year.
Read MoreThere's something so stirring about photographing a woman that is growing a little life inside her. This session was no exception. Rachel was a few days from her due date patiently waiting for the arrival of her little one.
Read MoreI often say it. But, I'll say it again. I feel so deeply thankful to be invited to document seasons of people's lives. It is such an honor to preserve these moments. They truly are flashes of what life looks like during a few moments of time. It strikes me again and again how quickly time presses on.
Read MoreThe first new days of soaking in your precious little one. They are foggy and exhausting yet so utterly sweet. Once all the fog clears the newborn creases have often faded also. It's easy to forget the sweet details.
Read MoreLast month while in Port Townsend I met this lovely family on a windy morning and we explored their favorite beach. I've worked with Alisha on projects in the past, she is an incredibly talented hair and make-up artist as well as painter. Jump over and check out her work HERE.

Read MoreOkay. I love these two humans.
Jon + Kaylie are literally the kindest most humble people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We have had the honor of getting to know them over the past couple years.
A few weeks ago I had the honor of documenting their love. Gentle rain fell on an overcast day. We took a ride over to Bainbridge Island and took a quiet walk through an amazing garden estate. We had the place (almost) to ourselves as we dodged puddles and swooned over the white crocus' that were reminding us that Spring is near.
Read MoreDear Mom.
These. Are. For. YOU.
If you're like most moms I know, you probably are the one taking the photos. We always have an excuse, our hair hasn't been brushed in 4 days. We're wearing leggings from the day before with yesterday's breakfast smeared on the rear. Our socks don't match. No make-up. It's been a long day at work. On and on and on.
I'm with you.
Here's the thing though: We need to be in the photos.
It's so important to be present, in-the-frame.
One day we'll look back and our babies are going to be grown. This season is temporary. Our now and always babies will cherish pictures of their momma.
Most of all, photos of them with their mom. Wrapped up in her arms. Sweet nursing moments. Walking hand in hand. Butterfly kisses. These moments. Let's make this happen!!!
I am offering one date in April for you to have that opportunity. We will take a little walk and document you and your babes together. Mom's of older kids, these are for you too!! It's still just as important to be in the frame!
This is open to expecting moms-to-be too!!!
Read MoreI met these four just after the sun came up in Pioneer Square, while the city was still quiet. We took a little walk, took advantage of some sweet snuggly moments and stopped for some hot chocolate at Zeitgeist Coffee. A perfect little morning outing.
Read MoreEvery session has lots of planning that goes into it. Talks about location, wardrobe and timeline. But, there are always so many unknowns. Weather is usually one of those, especially in the Pacific Northwest. I roll with the punches, I actually don't mind the rain. But, sometimes I am so pleasantly surprised that my heart just wants to burst. This was one of those times on a January day, we were showered in sunshine.
Read MoreThis year was Oh-so-good. I am so so grateful for all of my incredible clients. Whom trusted me to document such intimate and fleeting moments. Thank you for supporting me and my family. I am so so deeply thankful for each and every one of you.
